Sushi and Comedy

Hi Ladies,


Good food and lots of laughs is what my boo and I experienced this past Saturday night! We had dinner at the Sushi House and Grill and saw a comedy show afterwards. Here is what I was wearing for the evening:

• Shirt:  Bandolino via Ross (old)
• Skirt:  Forever 21
• Bangles:  Various Stores
• My new favorite Heels:  DShoes

We saw Arnez J perform at the Comedy Zone.  He's been seen on Def Comedy Jam, and BET's Comic View and I think he is so under rated! However, tickets did sell out quickly because this guy is HILARIOUS! My sweetie tried a couple of days in a row to get tickets and we were finally able to get some for Saturday night. 

I wasn't suppose to take pictures inside of the show.....but I did anyways!!! LOL!

He really put on a great show!  We were definitely in stitches!!!

Before the show we dined at Sushi House and Grill in Bartram Park.

We're not the biggest fans of sushi  but when I saw this sign, I figured we'd try some for an appetizer.

We ordered the Baymeadows Roll which was fried and had smoked salmon, cream cheese, crab stick, shrimp sauce, eel and spicy sauce.

We were pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was! I don't eat much sushi, but it was the best I've tried!

He saved the last piece for me!  How sweet!  I politely gobbled it up!

If you guys haven't already figured out that I LOVE Hibachi, well....I LOVE Hibachi!!!  That's what we both ordered and it was delicious!!!

This is the lovely picture before I drowned it in shrimp sauce and stuffed it down my throat!  LOL!  Well I actually took more than half of it home.  They give you a lot of food!  I will most definitely dine here again!

Blue Cheese?

Hi Lovelies!


I just had to come on really quick for an OOTD!  But first, I have to share a interesting conversation that took place between me and a student.


Student:  " Miss?  Why they call you Blue Cheese?"


(Thinking to myself Oh dear Lord these kids think I smell!  How is that possible?!?!?!)


Me:  "Oh my goodness...I don't know.  Why?" (Still thinking to myself why on earth would they think I smell)


Student:  "BECAUSE YOU BE DRESSIN'!!!!" LOL!!!


Me:  (Gave out a sigh of relief ...in my head)  "Oh...ok! That's cool! Now get back to work!" LOL!


Apparently this was a line from a famous comedian.  I had never heard it before so I was completely caught off guard but appreciated the compliment...i suppose!  LOL!

Bridal Shower for Bernie

Hi Dolls,


I apologize for my lack of posts lately.  Work has got me so busy that by the time I remember to take a picture, I'm too pooped!  Anywho, this past Saturday was my friend Bernie's bridal shower!!!  She's getting married in November and I am really excited for her.  Here is what I was wearing:

You all have seen most of these items before in a different way.....I was having one of those "I have nothing to wear moments".

The BF snapped the pic of me looking down and I thought it came out kinda cool.

Still having issues with this fairly expensive camera and it's blurry issues.  Funny how the setting wasn't changed but the first pic came out clear and this one blurry....[insert long sigh here].



I love these huge feathery coral earrings!  I got them in Vegas at some store inside of Caesars Palace.

The bridal shower was lots of fun and ofcourse the food was yummy!  I thought these little wedding dress favors were too cute!

Here's what we had to eat: 

• Yellow Rice
• Green Beans
• Rosemary Roasted Chicken
• Roll
• Good Old Fashion 7up

• These were homemade pound cake cupcakes and let me just tell you....they were stupid delicious!!! LOL!!!

A really cute mini wedding cake with the bride and grooms picture on it!

The most interesting gift given was the "Safe-Sex" bouquet!  It got a rise out of everyone!  It included lovely flowers ofcourse adorned with condoms, flavored body oil, and um...5 hour energy drinks!  LOL!  If anyone is interested in one of these, I'll be more than happy to put you in contact with the lady behind this creativity.

And here was the surprised and very happy bride-to-be, Bernie!

Sunday's Best

Hey Dolls,

This is quick post to show you what I was wearing yesterday!  Church was great as always!  The message was about putting on your full armour of/for God.  If we are Christians like we say we are, life won't always be a walk in the park.  The devil is not happy when we live for God so we will always be tested and times will be hard sometimes. We have to praise God in spite of what ever we may be going through.

OOTD and What's Cooking With Trice!!!

Hi Dolls!

It is almost the weekend and I couldn't be more excited!  I wanted to show you guys my outfit of the day.

• Black Jumper: F21
• Pink sweater:  My mommy's closet.
• Heels: BCBG
• Watch: Betsey Johnson
  Scarf:  Burlingtons

• Earrings:  Bealls Outlet

I wanted to have a date night with my love without going out and spending money.  I took a survey of what I had in the kitchen and was able to create a wonderful meal!  

HERE'S WHAT I MADE:

1.) Marinated Ribeye Steaks

The steaks were marinated in Worcestershire over night and taken out about 45mins before cooking.

I added Sea Salt, Cracked Black Pepper, and Tiger Sauce to the steaks and grilled them on each side for about 3 to 4 minutes.  (Medium Well)

2.) Asparagus
Cut the darker, woody ends off of the asparagus , spread them out on a cookie sheet, season the way you like, and stick them in the oven for about 10 minutes.

I drizzle EVOO on the asparagus and season it with salt, pepper, and garlic!  SO GOOD!!!!

3.) Roasted Garlic & Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

For two people I cut up 5 medium to small potaotes and boiled them in salted hot water.  While they were boiling I prepared the garlic.

I cut a bulb of garlic in half first.

 Wrap the garlic in foil and put in the oven at about 450 degrees for about 20 minutes.

.

Once the garlic is ready and your potatoes are mashed, squeeze the roasted garlic out into the potatoes.

Add the parmesan (add how ever much you like).  I also add milk, salt and pepper to taste.

Once everything is ready, plate and serve!!!  Red wine goes nicely with steak!!!

Labor Day @ Bostons

Happy Labor Day!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their day off from work!  I did!  My only complaint is that this weekend is almost over....ALREADY!!!  Here is what I was wearing on Labor Day:

Today my boo and I did something a little different from the normal BBQ/cook-out.  We kept it simple and decided to go out for some wings and pizza!  What better place to go then BOSTONS!!! 

This is the perfect spot to catch a ball game!  They have screens everywhere.

Ever since eating pizza from this place, I haven't wanted those other franchise pizzas!  The pizza and wings here are sooooo good. 
They serve other items like pastas, flatbreads and salads, but I am sold on the wings and pizza.  I tried a salad once and didn't care much for it.

These wings are finger-lickin' GOOD!!!

and the pizza......well you can see for yourself!!!  It is definitely as good as it looks!

Green WithOUT envy!!!

Hello Beauties,

Happy Sunday!!!  I hope everyone is enjoying their long holiday weekend. No work Monday!  Wooo-Hooo!!!

You know I have to give you a little insight on what I was taught in church today!!!  Today's message was great as it always is.  It's funny how we try to find some kind of way to justify our wrong doings.  Ofcourse no man is perfect and none of us are without sin but we have to at least try to do right at all times and not make excuses for faults.

The scripture that was most profound to me was Isaiah 5:20 which states, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" 

Let's not become "lukewarm" Christians.  Stay on fire for our Lord!
