While I show you my work OOTD from yesterday, I figured I'd let you all into my world a little more and maybe give some of you a little encouragement. :)
As most of you may know, Im a school teacher! My job is rewarding for the most part, but being a teacher was not a life long dream of mine. I actually struggled with the idea of being one for a very long time. I have always been interested in working in the medical field (Still would love to)! I graduated from college with pretty good grades and a BS degree in Physiology (pre-med)!
When I graduated I decided to take a little "time off" from the books.
After taking my break, I tried to figure out different avenues I could take to get into the medical field. I drove myself crazy thinking of which one would suit me best....MD, DO, PA, RN, Doctor of Optometry, Chiropractor, Dentist, etc. I attended several seminars, open houses, shadowed doctors, worked in a clinic (Which I still do part-time), and volunteered at hospitals & within my community. 
Long story short, years later, I'm still a teacher! A few years ago, I was venting to a good friend of mine about not being where I thought I should be in life (which was working in the medical field), she made it crystal clear for me.
She said to me"Katrice, did you ever think that your doing what God wants you to be doing? I mean, you have the grades to get into med-school, volunteer, and work experience, yet you're still here. You're an awesome teacher, the kids and faculty love you, and you're touching so many lives, daily. If it's meant for you to work in the medical field, you will, when the time is right."
I'll never forget that conversation.

I said all of that to say this....there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a plan for yourself, even plan B and C. Just know that your plans may not always line up with the plans God has for you & perhaps your timing is off. He does has a funny sense of humor! (I told my college roommate who was an Education major that "I could NEVER be a teacher!") Everything happens for a reason, both good and bad so make every situation a learning experience and allow yourself to grow from them. Live life with no regrets!!!
I will happily continue to educate our youth, but I am definitely not giving up my dream of becoming a healthcare provider some day!
