Cheerful Giving

Hi Lovelies,
"It is more blessed to give than to receive"
- (Acts 20:35)
"  Personal greatness and service to others is intertwined"
-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
- Mahatma Ghandi
Do you agree that it's better to give than to receive?  During church last Sunday, pastor preached on the "cheerful giver".  He mentioned that when we give, it should happen willingly because a giver who gives grudgingly is missing the value of the act and in essence wasting their time.

Of, course showering others with gifts is always fun but giving doesn't have to mean money and monetary gifts, but giving of time and talents as well.  There's volunteering and community service, spending time with family and friends, being available to listen to a friend during their time of need...playing fetch with your dog LOL!

Giving to others makes me happy.  I like making others smile even if it's with a simple hello to a stranger, phone call to a friend, or donations to GoodWill.
How do you enjoy giving?

Have a great day and as always thanks for stopping by!
